The legendary CEG 23 car from Blonay-Chamby once again displays its deep Belle-Époque green—and we're proud to have contributed to this revival! Our shop supplied all the exterior paints: anti-corrosion primer, intermediate coat, and high-gloss varnish.
Under the guidance of the museum's workshops, around fifteen volunteers aged 16 to 28 have:
- stripped the body down to bare metal;
- applied the different layers of paint using a spray gun;
- laid the gold net, created the lettering and painted the coat of arms by hand, faithfully to the 1903 design.
- and many others (I didn't take notes...)
Don't hesitate to take a trip, the passionate volunteers of Blonay Chamby are the best placed to tell you about it.
Hundreds of hours of painstaking work just for the paint job : their rigor is literally reflected in every chip of the varnish. The perfectionist sprayer even showed us the tiniest drips—it's up to you to spot them; they're hard to find!
Having the honor of being invited to the inauguration reminds us that maintaining heritage is a team effort. Seeing these young people restore a century-old car to like-new condition is truly heartwarming and confirms our credo: quality materials + passion = projects that stand the test of time.
Thank you to Blonay-Chamby and congratulations to the entire team! See you soon for more adventures that will make history shine... layer after layer!
